Having successfully resided in the Applewood Shopping Center for quite some time, Wells Fargo decided to build a new branch bank on an available site off of Youngfield. Kenney Architects helped Wells Fargo successfully navigate the nuances of a very tight and easement confined site, both in design and throughout the planning process with the city of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Following their DeNovo prototype standards, the new branch achieved LEED Silver certification in 2012. Efforts were made to stay current with the latest energy code and sustainable technology by updating specifications for ceiling tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, exterior insulated sheathing, and glass.
